Experience

  • I have tutored German to kids from primary to high school starting 8 years ago, teaching me to adapt my teaching style to different needs.
  • During my undergraduate degree, I taught the modules Macroeconomics, Econometrics, and Economics of the Welfare State to up to 30 undergraduate students for 12 months over three years. For this role, I received formal pedagogical training on teaching best-practices.
    • My acquired skills:
      • Preparing interactive teaching material on PowerPoint (visuals, exercises, etc.)
      • Articulating myself clearly on complex concepts
      • Leading other teaching assistants as Head TA in Macroeconomics (teaching a combined of 400 students)
      • Made adjustments and provided additional check-ins for a student with a disability
  • I have worked extensively as an assistant in research projects, through data analysis, literature reviews, and presenting findings to research groups
  • I am fluent in German and English, with my second languages being Portuguese and French.
