Maths

Having always enjoyed Maths, which was the favourite part of my degree in Engineering at Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge, I can give students the confidence to improve their grade. Before moving to Brazil in 2000, I lived in London where I worked for an engineering consultancy firm. In Rio de Janeiro, I began teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) to professionals before founding my legal translation company in 2006. I moved to Lisbon in 2016 where I started to provide online tuition for Maths (in English) and continue to carry out translations for law firms in Brazil and Portugal. Despite living in Lisbon, I keep up to date with the UK curriculums and hope that my enthusiasm for the subject rubs off on my pupils. Whether for Key Stage 2, ISEB Common Entrance 11+ and 13+, as well as GCSE in the UK, or for the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, I use past examination papers as a tool to practise exam technique as well as to assess and enhance subject understanding.

I like to walk, swim and exercise (almost) every day. I live in Lisbon and am married to a Brazilian.
